Hi again everyone,
It's been a while since our latest blog post here at Twisted Envy and we hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season but we just wanted to take our time to raise awareness for World AIDS Day.

World AIDS Day takes place every year on December 1st and we thought that we could use this platform to help tell you a little more. AIDS is a deadly disease caused by the spread of the HIV infection and has affected millions of people. You can be born with it or you can contract it. The reason for World AIDS Day is to raise awareness, celebrate the breakthroughs in medicine and to remember and help those who have been affected. World AIDS Day also helps to dispel a lot of myths and misconceptions about the virus. I personally feel that a huge problem faced by those affected by AIDS and HIV is the discrimination that they face. I'd just like to point out, that even in 2011 people still believe that HIV can spread through casual contact.
"One cannot be infected by shaking someone's hand, by hugging or "dry" kissing someone, by using the same toilet or drinking from the same glass as an HIV-infected person, or by being exposed to coughing or sneezing by an infected person."
Every year, World AIDS Day has a theme and this year's theme is "Getting to Zero". Zero new HIV infections. Zero Discrimination and Zero AIDS related deaths. It would be amazing if we could achieve this and Twisted Envy plan to help by releasing a range of beautiful AIDS-related diamante transfers. 20% of the proceeds will go to the Red Ribbon Foundation which helps promote awareness for HIV/AIDS.
